Healthy fruit at the bottom yogurt

Description

Love yogurt but fear the calories or carbs then give this a try.. Mix greek yogurt with your fav fruit (I no suger added frozen fruits) and a few drops of liquid stevia makes for a great morning treat. Using the greek yogurt provides you a higher protein content plus its thicker then normal yogurt so the juices from the berries won't water it down.

Ingredients

8ozGreek Yogurt
1ozFrozen Fruit
3drStevia

Biscuits and Gravy

Description

I love Biscuits and Gravy but made the normal way its full of fat so for years from time to time I would make it using turkey sausage but it just wasnt as good.. I then ran into Isernio's Breakfast Chicken Sausage and my family has been hooked every since

Ingredients

1pkisernio's breakfast sausage (or sausage of your choice)
2Tflour
1tpepper, ground
1pkfavorite biscuits
1ptheavy whipping cream

Instructions

Start your biscuits first as they take the longer and get them in the over.. Throw your sausage in a pan and cook it together with your flour and pepper. Once the sausage is fully cooked add your whipping cream and cook until its your desired consistency. Toss onto your biscuits and enjoy..

Notes

By cooking the flour with the sausage the flour will absorb the oils from the sausage and will saving you from having to make a "rue" later on, this saves you from having to add fat through butter or extra oil. Add a dash of tabasco sauce for an extra kick

When people talk about Fast Food and how unhealthy it can be they don't often talk about why its unhealthy they just throw out numbers about the calories and fat your taking in, about fried foods and super sizing meals but you might be shocked to find out that if you really look at what goes into your meal and you avoid the hidden dangers you can walk away without adding inches to your waistline!

Is your chicken good for you?

Submitted by richard on Sun, 02/28/2010 - 8:17pm

I have learned in my quest to eat healthier to look at the labels on everything and I mean everything including that simple package of chicken breasts on sale at your grocery store!

Now come on, what in the world would be in a package of chicken except chicken? How about water? A lot of packages say water added and even fewer packages are more "truthfull" and say something like "this package has been enhanced with 15% broth".
