Ultimate Crockpot Lima beans
Description
Beans are high in fiber and other nutrients that are good in many ways. this recipe uses low sodium broths and lean ham to create a flavor you can't get from a can and its so easy even someone who can't cook can do it.
Ingredients
| 1 | lb | small lima beans |
| 12 | oz | low fat, low sodium, ham |
| 3 | clv | diced, garlic |
| 1 | ct | low sodium, ham or beef broth |
| 1 | T | low sodium, ham stock concentrate |
| 1 | T | ground, pepper |
| 1⁄2 | c | diced, onion |
| 1⁄2 | T | red pepper flakes |
| 1⁄2 | T | mrsdash |
Instructions
Prepare beans as described on the bag and throw them in a Crockpot at low.
Add all other ingredients and stir every hour.
Everyone has a difference preference on how firm beans should be so cook time is to taste but around 6 hours is my preference.
